Question about 1997 Oldsmobile Bravada
The truck was having problems running. Then went to start with auto starter and wouldn't start. Tried to put key in ignition and start and now nothing happens and the key won't come out of ignition. Tried to reset neutral safety switch and can get it to go into neutral but still wont do anything and still can't get the key out. Please any help would be appreciated.
Under the steering column is an access plug. Remove the plug and insert a small shaft driver into the hole and push up gently, the key will release.

My 99 Oldsmobile Bravada's battery is dead, trying to move vehicle into the garage and it will not going into neutral or it will not shift into any gears.

I had the same problem with my 97 bravada with the key not coming out of the ignition. Just underneath where the ignition key switch is on the steering column, there is a hole. Take a pencil oh say 6 inches long and push up into that hole and feel a spring loaded shaft, push up on the shaft, turn the key, take out the key.
