Question about 1993 Saturn SL2

1 Answer

93 Saturn SL2 won't start

My car was working okay and today it just randomly won't start. The starter turns so I know I have power. It just won't turn over completely. I'm not sure if it would make a difference if I replaced the fuel filter. I just replaced the plugs. I am thinking that it might be the fuel pump, but I would need a second opinion. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check your fuses, and intake valve, and also get a battery test. I believe those are free.

My 93 saturn twin cam sl2 series starter wont engage had it tested and its fine what could cause my starter not to turn all the way

If it is a random problem, you may have to wait until it is a solid failure to find the cause.
Could be the key switch, the neutral safety switch, the starter solenoid, or a cable connection.
A mechanic would check all of these components for voltage when it will not crank.

Saturn sl2 automatic...put a starter in..still won't start..all dummy lights up and battery is good...go to turn the key and nothing...help..

Most of the time this is caused by the anti theft system. It disables the starter and leaves you stuck. This is very common on GM vehicles. Read up on this link for info, pictures, and "do it yourself" solutions to the problem.

On my 93 saturn sl2 in order for the car to crank and start i have to turn the right turn signal on. If i do this it starts every time. Do i have to replace the whole ignition blinker and light cluster?

Have you done any wiring changes in your car recently? There should be no interaction between the turn signal switch and the starter switch. You do not need to replace your light cluster. In fact, I don't think you have a problem with your turn signal switch, unless, of course, the turn signals do not work. Do you have access to an electrical schematic and a voltmeter?
