possible ignition module or fuel pump both have problem when they get hot or warm. try to smack the fuel tank with a hammer or equivalant. when it wont start if it runs then replace the fuel pump & fuel filter & fuel relay!
Am I correct in understanding that the truck will start and stall out and then keep running on the restart? If so I would be looking at the cold start circuit. Perhaps a loose wire or corrosion. Maybe the cold start valve is going bad. Hope this helps.
if you bang on the tank and it runs fine for sum time ! the fuel pump is on its way out !the brushes in the pump are worn !replace pump ! and relay ! relay is under the hood on drivers side
i think i would check the fuel presure regulator and the fuel presure if fuel presure low look at fuel filter if rail not holding presure then look at fuel presure reg and vac conection on it
ignation control mogule, wen get hot expend and lose conection and will not start after cool down start normal also will cose no fuell presure fuell pump will not run, locatiom under coils.replece it
Check fuel presure.I believe its 61 to 65 psi, with little or no drop off in ten minutes.V-6 access port for fuel presure is at left rear of engine,(remove dog house to access). Fuel pump is in fuel tank.Use AC Delco only, there is a updated wire harness conector for these.
most likelly when your fuel pump gets hot it looses the pressure going to engine replace fuel filter and if this dont help then have the fuel pressure test done when problem is present
and if not good replace fuel pump
