Could be throttle positioning sensor,T.P.S.may be loose or defective,it must be ajusted perfectly because the computer adjusts the engine speed using this sensor when you are driving .good luck.

You have a device called the idle air controller. This controls the idle speed. You can clean it out with spray carb cleaner. This may cure your problem. Also replace the PCV valve.
change the control modul. that control voltage to the coils. it sound like it not bleeding off fast enough the control modul is under the coils. befoe changing any part remove ground off battery. befor change any coils u could of swop to see if this is still not firing
It sounds like you may have a broken exhaust valve spring, although, like you have found out problems like this can be very hard to diagnose, but anyone with a compression tester and couple other tools could find out if this is the case. Hope this gives you another idea where to look.
