Hi. The dash and tail lights on my 84 Dodge 50 truck don't work. I have, of course, tried replacing the fuse (twice). Still no lights. Is there perhaps some kind of in-line fuse that I could change? The manual doesn't show anything. Thanks
Thanks for the advice. But, the headlights work fine. It's the dash and tail lights that won't work. Thanks for the advice. But, the headlights work fine. It's the dash and tail lights that won't work.
Yes I understand that the head lites work, however the dash and tail lites work off of the same switch.Yes I understand that the head lites work, however the dash and tail lites work off of the same switch.

These are all different circuits. The brake lights are on a 10amp fuse - the headlights are on a 50amp fuse - and the parking and dash lights are on a 20amp fuse. Do you have power going into the headlight switch and the brake light switch ?
These run of the same fuse, guessing youvechecked the fuse box,can sometimes blow for what seems no reason at all, replace the fuse if blown withw the right amp fuse,if it blows again check if all earths etc are clean and making good contact
The odds are the one fuse is blown for the dash and the tail lights. And the wrong bulb may have been put in for the brake light. The brake light is feeding back into the tail light circuit causing the fuse to blown out.
Change out the bulbs with OEM bulbs and replace the blown fuse. That should fix the problem.
Check your tail light fuse, on the dodge ram the dash lights and tail lights use the same fuse so if the tail light fuse blows your dash lights will go out to alert you of no tail lights.

Oh, I see. I'll check into it. Thanks
