You need to get a narrower tire. the rubbing is from the tires being to wide and the are rubbing on a panel or shock.

Hello, have a 2003 Dodge Intrepid SE - 2.7L with 42LE Transmission - just replaced the solenoid pack and OD-UD, LR accumulators-new filter gasket and fluid - now it's giving me OBDII codes P0700 (

It sounds like you have a handle on this but I will ask the dumb question, are you coating the orings with petrolium jelly or trans assembly jelly? As far as the codes go, you might have a bad ECM. That mmany codes all at once seems suspect.

When im driving the car moans and moans even louder when i turn the wheel, the faster i drive the louder the sound gets

You should check the power steering fluid level first. However, you said the noise gets louder if you turn the wheel. That sounds like a front hub bearing. To check the front and rear hubs, raise the tires off the ground one at a time. Try to move the tire in & out at the top, sides and bottom. spin the tire if you can. Only a tiny amount of play, if any, is acceptable. If you hear or feel rumbling or roughness when turning the tire, the hub is bad and must be replaced

Fixed Properly: You need to bring it to a shop- Modica Bros/Pep Boys/Firestone/Disount Tire/Etc. It's a simple alignment and it'll cost somewhere in the $120 price range - possibly less.

Replace rear struts on a 96 dodge intrepid

I suggest QuickStruts (r). Unless you have a spring compressor, they're the most user friendly. They come in the box as a ready to go, one piece, assembly. You can access the upper 3 bolts either behind the rear seat, under the rear deck, or through the trunk. There are 3 bolts on top and either 1 or 2 on the lower suspension. Make sure the rear of the car is fully suspended and, remove the rear tires. This will make everything a little easier to work with. When installing the new struts, make sure there is no metal to metal contact on the upper mounting area of the strut. Just adjust the strut bushing accordingly. The upper bolts should be torqued to about 60 to 100 ft.lbs.. The lower bolts need to be torqued to at least 135ft.lbs.. Hope this helps get you started. Feel free to ask for any more info.

Front End Problems

first i would check the tires , are they cupped or chopped on the tread? run your hand over the tread and see if it feels rough and uneven. take the truck to a auto repair shop and have them jack both front and rear axles off the ground, put the truck in 2 wheel drive and run the speedometer to the speed you usually hear the roaring noise, if you don't hear the noise , put the truck in 4 wheel drive, turn off the traction assist if it has one and run it to the speed you would hear the noise. if you hear the roaring noise with tires off the ground, the problem is in the drivetrain, (engine, transmission, transfer case, u-joints, differentials or the front left or right cv halfshafts or u-joints). the older models (97 98) had the front two driveshafts from the differential turning all the time, they engaged in 4 wheel drive from the transfer case and a solenoid on the front differential. depending on the miles you have on this truck, the most likely areas i would look at would be the tires, u-joints/cv joints, and front and rear wheel bearings. thanks and good luck.
