I have installed a complete new Transmission system on my 1995 Chevy S-10, 4.3L, 5-Speed truck. I installed a new transmission, new flywheel, new clutch and clutch plate, new Master and Slave Cylinders. Have bleed the system to the point I get great shifting and all. However, my problem is in first gear and reverse. When I release the clutch, I can feel a slight vibration as if the clutch and clutch plate are not in sync. I get the same vibration in reverse. The system does not idle smooth as it should. Plus it feels like the clutch and clutch plate are not balanced. Feels like the system is out-of-round Also, when I place my foot on the clutch pedal, I can actually feel the rotation of the clutch/clutch plate... All other shifting is normal. It's very annoying. Any suggestions???

The problem sounds like your kick down cable has gone bad. There should be a cable that runs from the transmission to the linkage on the TBI(i'm assuming it is a TBI[Throttle Body Injection]) At the throttle bracket, it is the lowest cable. It should have a little plastic box and you should be able to push on the button and slide the little plastic piece in or out of the box. This will adjust your shift points, being plastic, the cable likes to slip if it gets old. Also if you have book or have access to one it should tell you how to locate and check it but usually you have to replace them once they start to slip, the one I got for my 1992 was only like 28 dollars so it's not to bad just a real pain.

two things to mind, sometimes when you get a new clutch it comes with blocks in pressure plate there put in there from the factory for shipping purposes, they have to be removed otherwise it will do what you discribe. secound if you got the wrong length throwout bearing will do it to. most likely its one or the other. if you sure everything is right as far as clutch, pressure plate, and throwout bearing, than the only other thing i can say it could be is slave cyl. bad. hope this helps. OLD SCHOOL.

U will need a special tool called a pressure bleeder and a source of pressurized air..

Check the oil if you haven't already. If that makes no difference, change the tranny oil and filter. It can make a world of difference. Another thing it could be is your fuel filter. The engine is starving for gas, and can't shift properly.
