1999 Pontiac Grand Prix

It seems the starter has gone out on my '99 Pontiac Grand Prix, problem is, I can't seem to locate where it is under the hood. A friend of mine said that although it's going to need to be replaced if it's misfiring, tapping the starter sometimes works to help it function....well, can't tap it if I can't find it, right? So, does anyone know exactly where it is under the hood? Can't find any diagrams or specs online, and I need this solved so I can go back to work.

Slight coolant leak, unknown location, seems to b coming off main belt, leaving spot in driveway and various locations under hood

Probably from the waterpump, there should be a little hole under it behind the pulley. It is there incase the pump seal leaks. Rub your finger around it to see if it is wet. Otherwise a the top hose may be leaking on the engine end. Do the same finger trick.

Horn on 99 Grand Prix stopped working. When pressed, I hear NO clicking or indication of action. I replaced the fuse. No Luck. Don't know where to look for the relay.

On a a 3.8 grand prix, the relay is under the hood, I think its number 16. It has the fuse and the relay. You can swap the relay beside it and try it. If it works then replace the relay, if it doesnt its not the relay....but thats where the relay is located.

99 pontiac grand prix smells hot after driving 30 minutes

If the temperature gauge looks good (under 3/4) its all good. If not, then there is a problem. If it smells hot inside, like moist and humid you will need to replace the ac filter, that can be located under the hood, close to the water resevoir, you will have to pull the ruber type gasket that is on the edge of the hood/wiper cover.

Where is the AC Low pressure valve on a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix?

sometimes its behind the alternator real close to the firewall. Find the bigger of the two hoses and pipes the low side is always bigger. Also the cap is blue and the fitting for the charging can will only fit on the right valve.

I'm looking for the location of the resistor on the blower motor of a 99 pontiac grand prix

If it is the same as a 2002 Grand Prix the resistor is located on the firewall behind the blower motor up under the glove box. You need to remove the blower motor to get to it.
