It likely is not a problem. The oxygen sensor in the exhaust pipe gets affected by fuel with even just 10% ethanol. Almost all gas has 10% ethanol now. Don't worry about it.

SOURCE: 2001 nissan quest alternator voltage

First you need to narrow it down to what is making the noise. It could be the power steering pump - water pump - air conditioning compressor or the alternator (some older vehicles had smog pumps)
Then you'll have to go from there...

How do I check engine codes on a '93 Nissan Quest?

Here is a general description on retrieving codes.
You will need to check online for the actual codes and their meanings. Systems built before 1996 will not show much compared to OBD2 systems built after 1996.

Turn ignition key on.
On Pathfinder, Pickup and Van models, proceed as follows:
    1. Turn diagnostic mode selector on ECU to ON position and wait until inspection lamps flash.
    2. Note number of flashes, then immediately turn diagnostic mode selector to Off position.

1995 nissan quest GXE: Power seat belts stopped working.

the passive restraints control module is behind the panel by the gas pedal.

The fuse is a 30 amp fuse taht also controls power window. in battery box under hood in front of battery. chart on cover.
then it goes through left hand circuit breaker which is behind leftkick panel above fuse panel I think. there are 2 circuit breakers next to each other.

Diagnostic codes

744 is to do with your torque converter clutch circuit, intermittent malfunction. 325 is knock sensor malfunction. Has vehicle been shifting different, probably at highway speed? (cruising) Have you noticed engine "ping"/"rattle" on acceleration? These would be common occurences with these codes.

Starting ruff

I'm leaning toward a bad sensor, as in throttle body temperature, or coolant temperature sensor. The smell of too much fuel is probably from pushing pedal to start, which shouldn't be necessary on a fuel injected vehicle. What does it do if you leave your foot off the gas pedal during start? As far as fuel filter goes, if it hasn't been done in a while, I'd do it anyway just as preventative maintemance if nothing else.
