1989 Vovvo 760 GLE Starting problem

After reading solution to starting problem of my 1989 GLE 760 volvo, I replace the RPM Sensor and still won't start. Where else should I look to make my car run as it used to be.. I like to keep it cause when it is running it runs well but this time I am desperate to get some solution to get the car running.

Hello, The fault you are briefly describing possibly relates to the fuel relay located above the fuse board behind your ashtray behind sound system.
Good Luck! come back to me if not sorted, press the Blue if you are! Thank You,
Paul 'W' U.K.

1989 760 turbothe code read 212what is the problem?

EFI-212 indicates the o2 sensor wiring is open, or the o2 sensor itself is faulty (replace o2 sensor). Rarely, it could be a problem with the LH computer itself though that has its own code: EFI-112.

I'm having trouble locating the reason my 1989 Volvo 760 Gle starts just fine, but keeps shuting off

Hi

Most likely cause is the air mass meter also known on modern cars as the MAF sensor. check for any air leaks in the pipes also. any rips in the air pipes will choke the engine.

Hope this helps

Dan

My 1989 Volvo 760 GLE will crank but wont start at all. I replace the Igniotion coil and RPM sensor but still will not start. Where else will I look for cause I want to keep this car i had for over 20...

It could be a bad solder connection on the fuel pump relay. It is a green relay. The relays are mounted behind the front console. You will have to take off the console panel on the passenger side. You then will see all the relays and can pick out the green one. I think they cost about $20. online. You could get one from a junk yard but you might end up having the same problem.
