I had this problem too with my 2004 Explorer
Don't know if it had anything to do with it,but i had washed down the engine compartment the previous afternoon. After having it towed to the dealership they told me it was the throttle body. They replaced it and all is good

I had 2004 ford explorer lxt the gas pedal no working

The throttle is drive by wire meaning there is no cable linkage operating the throttle directly. Instead the throttle is operated electronically. There are sensors connected to the pedal as well as to the throttle body. Either one or both could be bad. I suggest scanning the OBD I I diagnostic port for trouble codes and then looking up the codes to determine the problem.

My 2004 Ford Explorer is swaying all over the road. The mechanic replaced a rear linkage knuckle and now my steering wheel is crooked. He cannot figure out what the problem is. The bushings look good, But...

Can i ask for more details? Such as when you drive down the road and take your foot off the gas pedal does the truck begin to sway?
Does it sway when you press the gas pedal only?
If it sways when you are releasing the gas pedal its probably rear bushings. Worn bushings can cause your vehicle to sway quite a bit.

Please list the Codes you have on those tickets. This will describe the area or even the part which is broken.

The Place which did the test should have given you the Codes. Try another place if the trouble light is on which will help verify the problem. Oreily and Advance will also test for free. Or try another Autozone.

Turns off when going on reverse and when turning the wheel without pressing on the gas pedal

I know this might sound dumb, but it has happened to a lot of people - make sure your floor mat (not even a corner of it) isn't on top of the accelerator pedal. Even the slightest weight can cause the pedal to accelerate enough to be noticeable.
Not dumb, it's a good answer. The floor mat can slip forward (and has) in two of our new vehicles when we were driving on the highway. It had worked its way off the anchors and slipped forward, causing the vehicles to accelerate. I put the gearshift in Neutral, pulled off the highway and that was the problem, both times. I don't think it was on top of the gas pedal, underneath, but still pressing or I guess, pulling the pedal down.

All of these are good answers, but if it's an automatic transmission, it might be normal provided the engine performance is ok. Auto trannies have a torque converter stall speed. I have a 96 Cadillac Fleetwood and it will move on its own.

Help... My four wheel drive High or Low will not engage on my 1995 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer edition. This is engaged "on the fly". The light comes on indicating they are engaged but they it is not.

Try at full stop in neutral switching to 4 wheel auto ,give it a few seconds and if you don,t here it engage try putting it into reverse and then back into neutral and then into drive. If still dosen,t work tranny switch is likely sticking . service or repair.
