My 2005 Nissan Murano SL AWD keeps shutting off!!!?!

I am driving along with the lights on; defroster on and sometimes a/c and of course the radio, and my vehicle will just shut off; the clock resets to 12:00 and the vehicle will still be moving but not responding; I pull over and turn the key and the car starts like it never stopped. I am totalling freaked about getting on the highway?

Sounds like the alternator is not charging, take it to the dealer.

How should i use my awd on my murano 2005? awd lock its that mean that its on and how much speed can i go please sombody

AWD is computer controlled in your 05 Murano. AWD lock is for low speeds under 10 MPH or something like that. I've had my 05 Murano since 05 and never used AWD lock. Between VDC and AWD I've never had any problem getting around. My salesmen told me it was for low speed/towing...I never tow so I've never used it.

2005 nissan murano sl, with rattling sound when accelerating

I recently experienced the same symptom with my '05 Murano and it was not a fuel problem. The dealer listed the cause as dry axle splines and replaced both front drive shaft assy's. Note that this was done as warranty with no cost incurred by me.

most likely it is the transfer case leaking. known problem on the AWD models. they leak right down on the exhaust and causes the burning smell. have it checked out again.

AWD keeps shutting off

The AWD lock will only work up til approximately 7mph and then is programmed to turn off after that. It's primary purpose it to get you unstuck from a sitting position. You will see the AWD indicator light turn off once you're up to speed. If, however, while you're driving and your MO sense slippage, it will automatically engage AWD. You may not know it though as the AWD light does not turn on during that situation. If it does turn on, it is because it is warning you that there is a problem with your AWD, not that your AWD is working. So be happy that you don't see it lit while driving. The MO's AWD system is not meant to stay on permanantly as it is not designed strong enough for it. It's better than you don't use your AWD lock if not needed as it could later cause major failure with your transfer case. Repair costs....$6000 or more if you don't have a warranty.

Replacing the rear parking light

Remove the finisher panel - its a long black plastic cover on the light housing - (pop it off) from the inner edge of the taillight, remove the screws.
