Question about 1997 Ford Contour
Recently I had an accident caused by faulty air bags deploying. I need to find the exact relays and fuses so I can remove the bags and shut off the horn and any other sensor that sounds off when I connect the battery cables. I have a manual, but it's too involved to make sense out of. I've located the boxes, but I can't find the lever on the main box that opens it. I've managed to find the fuse for the horn, but when I removed it, my stereo, clock and overhead lights also went out. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You have to have a scanner to read codes, but it could very possibly be a seatbelt has fired, generally the one that does will be shorter than the other one, unless of course you had a passenger then they both would be retracted.
