Mitsi lancer 92 guage halfway is this normal

Driving car for say 2minutes the guage goes to halfway, even if i continued driving longer the guage doesnt go any higher than that is this normal? I checked under the hood to see what was going on, i took the cap off it was steaming slightly but not blowin out steam. After a trip up the road i get home and when i turn the car off it takes a couple of seconds for it to turn off. Im not sure whether it relates to the guage being halfway, dont have a clue. please help

On my Mits half way on the temp gauge is perfect. Only goes higher if overheating.

You may want to check your thermostat for sticking. After warm up use a rag and grasp the upper radiator hose. You should feel the coolant moving through. If not replace thermostat.

SOURCE: mitsi lancer 92. After driving

It can be a problem with the ignition, in this case you will need to replace the ignition block.

I own a 2008 Chevy Malibu and none of my gauges are working. They are all stuck on zero even while I'm driving. How do I fix this problem?

check fuses. did this happen all of the sudden? did you or someone recently change the stereo, reason I ask this is there is a continuous power wire that connects the factory stereo to the guage panel usually a yellow wire, and if it's no longer connected or incorrectly connected then that would cause your gauges not to work

Check engine light comes on and then the temperature gauge goes up to hot

Mine did it too.... The problem is the Engine Power Relay.

The Engine Power Relay is in the relay box in the engine compartment. Aftermarket relay is cheap, but the original Ssangyong part will last many years longer.

Hope this helps.
