On the drivers side on the firewall right in front of where driver sets under the hood there will be a plastick tank setting on top of a metal thing with metal brake lines running into it the plastic tank will have the level marked on it just unscrew the cap and fill to correct level.

SOURCE: !995 jeep gr cherk. transmission fluid. add hot

Its best to add while all is hot..
Leave it runing in park while adding fluid..
Put a little at a time and keep checking being careful not to over fill..
The dipstick mesures in pints - not quarts..

Rate well ;o)

I dont know where to add brake fluid on a 1989 jeep wrangler?

you should be able to add fluid by unscrewing to top of the master cylinder. Check for leaks around the brake lines and calipers, or a leak at the master cylinder(where you check the fluid). If a leak is found you will have to repair it. the rubber brake lines in the wheel wells are susceptible to cracking. then you will have to bleed the brake system with new fluid. I would recommend having a professional do it for you.

Were are the wrangler 1989 horn fuse

Horn fuze is located under the inside firewall of driver side, next to the parking brake. Most like mine has a spot buy no fuze, you can add one at or near the horn itself.

1989 jeep wrangler cluch pedle goes to floor

These jeeps have an hydraulic system with a master cylinder up top and a hydraulic line leading down to a slave cylinder. You likely have a leak somewhere and your hydraulic fluid is gone.

1989 jeep wrangler wont shift gear and clutch gone loose

Get the clutch slave cylinder and master cylinder looked at.One of the 2 has failed. If the pedal goes to the floor or is very loose, this is very likely the cause. Not an expensive fix.Hope this helps

Transmission capacity

Most transmissions take about 5 quarts. Check with auto parts store to get correct type. They should be able to tell you how many quarts your car requires. Add about 3 to 4 quarts Depending on size of transmission, start engine check fluid level while engine is running (should let it warm up) Add fluid as needed to fill to full line. Do not overfill!!!
