Question about 2004 Ford Focus

1 Answer

Ford Focus Just trying to re insure my car with a different insurer and am a bit confused with regard to the description of my car. My previous insurer description was 2004 Ford Focus SR Sedan 1800cc fuel injection. My new insurer has described the car as 2004 Ford Focus SR Lr Sedan 5sp manual, 4 cylinder 1796cc. Is this correct? It is definitely a SR 5sp manual but what is confusing me is the 1800cc and 1796cc??? Can anyone help??

Have a look at your registration document, it will show you exact engine size, most probably 1796 cc.When people desctribe the engine size, it is generally approximated to the nearest hundred.
So 1796 cc is generally described as being 1800 cc or in litres 1.8 litres.

I have a 2000 ford winstar with over 200,000 miles on it. is it worth it to carry uninsured motorist with my liability insurance?

That question is a little out of our range of knowledge, especially since each state is different.
Usually, uninsured motorist coverage is to protect you against medical bills if you are injured. Your own collision insurance covers your car damage costs. Again, it depends on the laws of your state.

Laws vary from country to country, state to state, and province to province. Your best course is to contact your current insurance carrier and ask.

File insurance or pay out of pocket

The decision depends on many factors, including the state or province you live in and the amount of the deductible. Your insurance agent should be able to lay out your options and give you better advise than anyone who doesn't know these factors.

My vehicle is running but need a new auto insurance because previous one expired due to maxed out credit card. but the mechanic told me it cannot pass inspection because of the rods and shafts and license...

I want to just clarify- are asking about a state saftey inspection, or a vehicle inspection that your insurance company is asking you to have done? if its the insurance cfo- I stand by my 1st answer to you.If its the state inspection you are speaking of-(which I doubt) having a car pass inspection via the state- is not required to obtain car insurance- now you need car insurance to get thru and pass the state inspection, but you can insure any car you want, wether it runs or not- as long as it is registered, and you have insurable interest- (meaning you are the owner)- doesnt matter is the floors are rusted out- you can insure it-

WHAT DO YOU REPLACE WHEN ONLY THE DRIVERS BAG DEPLOYS ON 2008 FOCUS DO YOU HAVE TO CHANGE WHAT TO RESET SYSTEM

unfortunately you should bring it to a dealer. When the air bag goes off there's crash sensors that need replacing and system needs to be reset. If you were in an accident your insurance should cover it.

My 2001 Ford Focus' heater/air dial has stopped working. The heater will only turn on "4" and the air conditioner will not come on. What is the problem?

Sounds like a burned resistor for your fan speed. 2- 8mm screws removes resistor check to insure coils are not broke.
