Question about 2004 Volkswagen R32
First you have to unclip the plastic lid over the engine. just pull up easy there's clips holding it in. Very carefull not to brake it. Now if you have a sway bar it will be harder trying to slid the lid off. There's going to be six red plastics that run horiontal when you stand in front of the engine the look like the engicters, but they are not. That's the spark plug wires that leads you to the spark plug. Just pull out on them or unclip them which is harder to do, and you might break them. Very Very important becareful not to break the clip on plastic head of the spark plug wires.GOOD LUCK and becareful it all plastic.

Inspect for the correct routing of the spark plug wires. Improper routing may cause cross-firing. Inspect each wire for any signs of cranks or splits in the wire. Inspect each plug wire boot for tearing, piercing, arcing, carbon tracking or a corroded terminal.
If there is any corrosion, carbon tracking or arcing indicated on a plug wire boot or terminal, both the plug wire and component it was connected to should be replaced.
