Did you take the transmission out? the crank sensor wire could have been pinched in the bellhousing. it runs across the back of the engine or the sensor could have been damaged during reinstallation

Engine will not turn over

Try turning the engine manually . this can be done off the front of the crank shaft bolt i think it is a 15/16 hex bolt if you can not turn it the engine main bearings are seized to the crank shaft if it turns then a voltage drop test needs to be done.

Check, clean and tight correctly the battery leads. If the problem still occurs remove the electrical starter motor out from the engine, repair it (change carbon brushes, bearings, ...) and install it back in place. Then test the engine. It should cranking & start immediately.
Good Luck!

Yes the trans can wipe out the crank bearings or the spacer behind the crank(forget what its called) it can let the flexplate move and the bolts can hit. That may be what your hearing. Does it still have good oil pressure?

1994 mazda protege 1.8 l auto trans won't start

It could be a faulty Engine Coolant Temperature sensor. It sounds like when it is cold, your computer is interpreting your signal from the ECT (or lack therof) as being at a certain temperature and not providing the right amount of fuel in order to start the engine when it is cold. Does the check engine light blink or flash at all?

95 F150 wont crank

the starter should be replaced. The solenoid is kikcing the pinion out but there is no contact being made to turn the starter motor. I have the exact same truck and before i changed the starter used the old starter tap trick. Tap the starter casing with a hammer and it should start turning again. hope this was helpful for you. Good luck.
