Question about 1990 Ford F250
I Have replaced the distributer cap and rotor as well as the silinoid and can't get it to start. I am getting spark from the coil to the cap but no spark coming from the distributer to the plugs. I was told it is probably the ignition module? So I checked on this part and it looks nothing like what is on my distributer. The ignition module that they have mounts to the side of the distributer and my distributer has a group of wires going into the bottom of the dist and nothing mounted on the side? Can someone please help explain what I need to do
I have spark coming from the coil to the dist by using a screw driver to ground it to something and got spark and then tried it again and got nothing. I am not sure what the hi tension lead is ( sorry) and were is it located on the coil? if so I did try the spark on the coil.
