Have a 2007 Dodge Dakota keeps stalling when hit bumps and turn

Only 2 thoughts come to mind having had vehicle with similar issue. 1) Iffy electrical connection to fuel pump that jostles loose on bumps and turns. Or 2) worse, a pinhole leak in the fuel line that unless jostled away from frame or other point of friction that made the pinhole runs fine but when contact lost from "plug" it sucks air and air hits carb/injectors. A Chiltons/Haynes repair manual may well give some answers other than what I have to offer.

My 2002 dodge cravan's gauges are going crazy what could this be

Do you know anything about electronic's ? Automotive electronic's take more of a beating , hitting bump's , pot holes ,curbs etc. Enough to jar even the best built electronic componets . Chrysler products have had solder joint's crack , causing intermittent connection problems , could be loose fitting electrical connection's etc.... There is a microprocessor with logic programmed into it , inside the instrument cluster , the gauges ,warning light's are all controlled by modules . The gauges get their info from the PCM/ECM - engine computer over what is called a serial data network , are you familiar with these . The PCI data bus is what it is called . NO Communication issues on 2003 Dodge 1500 trucks is best fixed using...

Probably the best thing to do would be to have the whole vehicle scanned for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's . Not at a part's store , they can not read codes in the instrument cluster , BCM - body control module etc.

You could probably check power an ground connections for the IPC , Looking at a wiring diagram so you know which wire's to check . Free wiring diagrams here Enter vehicle info. year, make ,model an engine size . Under system click on body & accessories ,then under subsystem click instrumentation .Click search button ,then the blue link. To find ground location's on the vehicle you real need some kind of factory service info. or repair manual .

Hi. I have an '02 Hyundai Accent. It has shut off 3 times while I'm driving, with no electrical response. I wait it out and it eventually starts up. For the past few months the instrument panel lights go...

Different areas worth checking in order of seriousness are:

  • loose battery cables/terminals - if they are loose, a bump could temporarily disrupt your connection
  • loose battery - the battery itself may be moving around in it's compartment when you hit a bump or jump on the brakes
  • defective alternator - the alternator gives off several symptoms when it's on it's way out. interference when the radio is on, very slow windshield wipers, dim headlights.
Bring the car to any of the bigger chain autoparts stores that feature a free electrical test. They could rule out a bad alternator or possibly narrow down what you should do next.

1998 saturn SL2 automatic-the transmission will "jump into neutral" when I hit a bump, also the speedometer will work on and off when driving according to the bumps in the road....

check the connections under the vehicle at the transmission may be loose and needs adjustment or tightening also check the wiring and cables in area may be rubbing against [or loose] shifter linkage

Blower for heat and air doesn't come right on.

Not likely. It may be a worn switch or the fuse or relay may be loose in their sockets. Check the blower motor area for loose connections or loose ground connection.

When i hit a bump the car sputters but stays on and the radio will turn off and the digital instrument panel resets

Check your battery & cable connections- including ground connections. You likely have a loose connection or short that joggles when you hit a bump. Fix it before it fixes you.
Good luck! If this fixes ya please rate this solution

My 2003 ford super duty loses power to the electrical devices, gauges , radio, odomeder, wipers..when i hit a bump

Likely to find a loose connection to the dash harness, turn on the devices that fail when hitting bumps, and grab the harness and jiggle to make concern appear.  If so, trace to weak connection point.
