I have a 1989 jeep customer Laredo 6cyl. 4.0 AW4 auto trans. My shift selector cable broke, item is obsolete @ jeep, and I cannot seem to locate one. Are there any cables that are compatible or does...

Don't know where you are located, but if you are in the southeastern United States, I would recommend Pull a part. I purchased a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee for $250, and have bought everything except oil and filters from them.

I have a 93 jeep grand cherokee. it will only start when the check engine light comes on. i have replaced the ecm. still not fixed. any suggestions?

Did you replace it with a re-manufactured or used ecm? If used, not all ecms are compatible with every vehicle. It has to be the exact same numbers on the ecm, matching the one in your jeep.

Drivers side seat is stuck in uppermost foward position under the wheel not driveable 1996 jeep grand cherokee

well you are going to have to get underneath it and either release the locked up adjustment slider parts or unbolt the whole thing from the car. In any event I would pull it out, disassemble and clean the adjuster parts coat them with chain lube and reassemble. if it is a power seat then your best bet is to remove it and toss it; then go find a compatible manual jeep seat in a junk yard and bolt it down into the same mounting holes.

We have a 94 Jeep GC Laredo, what years are compatible as far parts go. We are thinking of purchasing a Jeep for parts and want to be sure tthat it will be compatible.

The Jeep GC also called ZJ models have two series, 1993 at 1995 and 1996 at 1997.

If you have an 1994, the compatible parts are in the first group; so, when you purchase always confirm with the VIN and the year model.

The Parts Catalogue about ZJ Models is here:
- Jeep-Parts-Catalog-Complete
- Jeep-1991-1993-MOPAR-Parts-Catalog

Good luck, and remember rated this help.
