In my 2001 blazer, my brake lights will not shut off while car is running and the brake light is lit up on my dash and right turn signal will not work. I have replaced the brake switch, and bulbs for my turn signal, still nothing. If I keep my right turn signal on, then brake lights shut off except for the right one. If I turn my hazzard lights on the brake lights shut off too. However, I can not drive my car with hazzards on everywhere I go. I have checked the flasher behind the glove box, but all that did was turn off my left turn signals. I am scared of someone hitting me on the road due to brake lights not shutting off. Any suggestions

There is a switch located under the dash which also is mounted in a way that when you mash the brake this activates a switch called the brake light switch this switch just needs a little adjustment it may have been hit or kicked with your foot. Yes, it could be. Or you can check your battery. And try adding brake fluid to your master cylinder. That sometimes will cause the brake light to come on. Or check your emergency brake. Hope this helps, James Booth.
the problem is with the bulb, what is happening is when you push your brake pedal with the lights off you are turning on you parking light side of you bulb, when the lights are on the parking light is already lit up so when you push the pedal you see no change. try a new bulb
check the parking brake sometimes a slight bump can make that light come on... pull it up then disengage it roll the car back and forth and see if it goes out.. 2nd make a heavy salt and water solution and completely drench the brake calipers with it move vehicle back and forth working brake...then spray off immeaditaly with a hose... this should clean up the abs sensors... if ithe light still stays on it may be a malfuction in the cars obds ( on board diagnosis systems..) unpluge positive termianl from your car let it set off for like 3 mins then put it back and start car see if the light stay on after you take it for a drive... if none if these work take to your dealer ship to replace the abs sensors... it wont be cheap....
