It's probably the T.P.S. That used to be a very common problem.....If you replace it you have to make sure it is adjusted right and you need a scanner to do that.......The adjustment is very important especially if you have an automatic..........

Did you replace any parts or overhaul the engine? It could be just the wiring problem on your meters. You may need to double check that.
you just go to castrol bike zone, they will surely fix your problem......

What was the last thing you did? Did you replace any parts or overhaul the engine? It could be just the wiring problem on your meters. You may need to double check that.

High rev at cold (winter cold!) idle

Your toyota technician should know what a "cold starting solenoid" is. It is the little thing that works your throttle until the motor warms up and something else takes over. I'd suggest going to another technician.

My 98 monte carlo rps wont go passed fourthousand

The PCM has a rev limiter that limits the engine to 4000 rpm when in Park or Neutral. This is to avoid engine damage during maintenance.

When at a stop light sometimes my firebird, which is a manual tranmission, revs up to 2200 rpms. fuel mileage had gone from 23 miles per gallon to around 9 or 10. help please its killing me!

Hello and welcome to FixYa!

I strongly suggest that you have the IACV (idle air control valve) replaced. If the IACV is worn out it tends to make the rpm high or low. High rpm will surely result to unusual fuel consumption. Once replaced I believe you'll be good.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

3.3 L 97 Grand Voyager engine won't idle revs stay at 2200 - 3000 rpm

Possibly the oxygen sensor. Had same problem with my Accord, had oxy sens replaced and that not only fixed the problem but I got better gas mileage after that.
