Why does my heater only blow hot air?

if only blows hot from defrost location only, then there is a vaccum leak from intake manifold to the selector switch. or the vaccum selector switch is defective. if it is a electric selector switch then the mode door is broken, common issue. when the truck if first started, is there a repetive clicking noise? if so then it would be the mode door being broken, warrenting having to remove the dash and recovering of the air conditioning refridgerent, or freon, r-12, or r-134a as this year is R-134a, draining coolant as heatercore needs removed, and removing the entire heating and airconditioning unit, located behind dash on passanger side, disasembling and replacing door. if clicking noise is pressent and time and money, and certified air conditioning mechanic not available, then finding the mode door actuator, or electric motor that turns the door, and unplugging it will cause the noise to stop, but forever have no airconditioning, as default location is defrost. if able to select from defrost to panel or floor location but heat only, then blend door is broke. i believe mode and blend door are same part number, but might not.
also check for recalls and tsb's, or technical service bullitions, as might help fix it. recalls are free, and tsb's are only to help you diagnose the problem, and you would have to pay to have fixed or fix yourself, but having to evacuate and recharge air conditioning system and haveing to have the special tools to remove ac lines it may be a job best suited for a professional. No heat/airconditioning in Lexus RX 330

The warning lights are probably not related to no heat, unless the engine is low on coolant.
It sounds like a problem with the blend doors under the dash, or the main controller. You may need a shop manual to diagnose it.

Body control module\

So the mechanic did all the necessary testing ?

If not then is is only a guess, you change nothing

Common Sense

The idle is not controlled by the body module
as the name implies
Body is windows,sun roof,air conditioning,fan control
radio etc not the motor

Great advice--- right?

2002 Ml 500 airconditioning system all of a sudden stoped working

Assuming a good charge of the a/c's r134a refrigerant:

DTB
Date: April 8, 2003
Order No.: T-B-83.40/66
Supersedes:
Group: 83
SUBJECT: Model 163.154/157/172/174/175, as of A289565
Air Conditioning System Does Not Produce Cold/Warm Air
On the above models, if you receive customer reports where the air conditioning system does not produce
cold/warm air after vehicle starting, do not attempt to replace any components at this time. This condition is
due to a momentary under voltage to AAC control module (N22), which causes the air flaps to temporarily
lose function. To restore normal functioning, cycle the key off and then restart the vehicle. This DTB will be
updated as soon as a solution becomes available

Airconditioning problem

I have the same problem. The can of freon I bought said the gage should read 45-55 psi with compressor running and ambient temp of 80 degrees. In any case 25 psi is too low for AC to function.

Air conditioning

The system could be low on freon.
You could also have a bad cycling switch.
