If you are doing this with no load on the engine in park or neutral then the engine computers automatic rev limiter is kicking in to prevent free wheel/no load damage to the engine components
my good friend I believe the solution I give might be not good for you as to what you state It sounds that you are loosing your automatic gear box. Have you ever changed the oil & filter of your Gear box? If not that was the reason.
DO YOU MEAN WHEN YOU ARE ACCELERATING? Or do you mean sitting and reving the engine? If you are just reving the engine in park then the rev limiter is kicking in.
this is your rev limiter stopping you from over reving engine causing internal damage. this is normal on all new vehicles. Don't know what year they started this but it goes back at least 16 yrs
