Where is the iat sensor on a 99 ford e-150 v6

The IAT (Intake Air Temperature) switch is located on the air intake hose that runs from the air intake box, to the fuel injection system. It is easy to spot, there will be a wired connector on the air intake hose. Disconnect it, and then simply pull the IAT out. When replacing, make sure that the rubber grommet that seals the IAT in the air intake hose, is sealed all the way around.

I hope that you have found this information to be useful, and if I can be of any further assistance, please let me know. Thank you for using fixya!

5.4 liter triton v-8, can not find the air charge

Hello jandjminton.
If you are referring to the intake air temperature sensor it is incorporated into the mass airflow sensor.
Pin #1 gray wire is air temp signal.
Pin#2 gray/red is signal return.
Pin #3 LB/Red is MAF signal.
Pin#4 TN/LB is MAF signal return.
Pin #5 BL/WH is ground
Pin#6 RED/YLW pcm power relay switched power
Hope this is what you are looking for.
If you need more information leave a comment and I will get back to you.

Where is the AIT located on a ford focus 2007 Duratec HE, and if the water temperature sensor is disconnected how does the temp gauge work

I'll assume you mean the IAT (intake air temperature) sensor. And while i'm not very familiar with the exact motor in your vehicle, the sensors are generally mounted on the Intake tube from the air box to the throttle body, sometimes mounted on the air box itself, or possibly even built into the Mass Air flow sensor. Which will be mounted most likely on the air box before the intake tube.

There is more than one water temperature sensor. One is for the ECM and the other for the guages. If the ECM one is unplugged it won't affect the gauges.

Where is the temperature sensor for a ford e-150 van 1994 on a 300ci v-8 engine. Thanks rick

1994 Ford Truck E150 1/2 ton Van 5.8L MFI 8cyl Temperature Switch is located: Front seating area, center, under engine cover, front driver side of intake manifold, mounted in engine block.

The ECT sensor (Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor) is located either in the heater supply tube at the rear of the engine, or in the lower intake manifold. The ECT sensor is a thermistor (changes resistance as temperature changes). The sensor detects the temperature of engine coolant and provides a corresponding signal to the PCM. From this signal, the PCM will modify the air/fuel ratio (mixture), idle speed, spark advance, EGR and canister purge control. When the engine coolant is cold, the ECT sensor signal causes the PCM to provide enrichment to the air/fuel ratio for good cold drive-away; as engine coolant warms up, the voltage will drop.
