Agree with everyone else here... sounds like the Battery is just a tad low on juice!

Go to Auto Zone, they will check the battery under a load. They can even check your alternator to see if that is working propery to recharge the battery. If the Alternator is working and your battery is low, they will even recharge it free of charge (well, they will mine cause I bought it there) you just have to leave it with them for about an hour!

Hope that helps! May also want to check your battery connection cables, may not be getting a good connection!

It could be a number of things first check to see if your battery is charged, it should have at least 13.7 volts in it. If it doesn't then get a jump start and test the alternator to see if it is charging or not.
If it is then have yur starter tested to see if it is drawing juice from the battery on a full time basis through the solenoid. try these and if you need further assistance let me know as I ay there are many things that could be the cause of this.

When you jump started the vehicle, it started as normal and you drove to a shop to have a new battery installed.?? Correct??

1. Who removed the old battery and installed the new one?

2. Did the car start normally immediately after the new battery was fitted? How frequently were you able to drive the car on the new battery before the problem you described appeared?

3. Has anything been done to the vehicle since the new battery was fitted.?

Check for a weak solenoid (spelling) on top of starter. Magnet too weak to throw out the bendix.

Why won't my car start without getting a jump? Once I get it jumped it runs really good but when I turn it off and try to start it again, it won't start. I have a new battery and a new alternator...

Buy yourself a volt meter and check the batter voltage before and after it starts. You should read 12 volts before starting and around 14 volts once it starts and the alternator is charging the battery. Also check for loose connections between the alternator and battery. Check that the ground wire from the battery is secured to the vehicles frame. Good luck!

CANT GET VW BEETLE STARTED

hi if its not been started for five years and it is trying to start but just won,t keep running get someone to tow you and jump start it because i suspect the compressions will be low due to a build up of damp carbon valves sticking all in all the seats on the head and valve will not be seating so if you persisist with the jump start it forces the valves onto the seats and will clear the debrie if it still won,t go check your compressions yates210456
