I've got the same problem - from the research I think it is the blend doors - I see a lot of comments about the heater fixer thing on ebay - I'm not knocking it because I've never tried it - however, RockAuto.com have a new replacement for 70 bucks. I think that's the lowest I've seen so far, even on ebay its over a 100. Thanks - I'll probably order a new one and replace it some time soon and I'll post another comment. Good luck - also having issues with the camshaft and cranshaft postion sensor OBCD code, door lock gears are grinding and had the oil sending unit replaced not to long ago. Irritating.

See my post for wahoojones 04 grand cherokee with same problem, most likely broken blend door in heater housing. Check out the other post for other possibilities though.

Ok if you have duel temp setting for both driver and passenger then the actuator for the drivers temp mode door is not closing or opening completly and you should replace the actuator

Heat not responding to temp control setting

it sounds to me like the passenger side control knob needs to be exchanged. This or there should be a relay in the line that is faulty. try wiring the driver's side control to the wires coming into the passenger side control. If this doesn't work, then it may be a computer glitch.

I have a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland with automatic climate control. The drivers side blows cold air constantly. It has no heat.

sounds like the blend door motro may be bad, this motor is screwed to heater box, there are a few of these motors one for pass/side for hot/cold air then one to control position of air like defrost or vent or floor, then the driverside cold/hot air, i think this motor is on driverside part of heater box, to make sure locate each motor while moving all controls until you spot the one that doesnt move, then remove it and move door manualy to see if you get heat, then replace that motor, hope this helps,

A/c and heater

Is it leaking antefreeze?
The thermostat might be gone or needs a bigger thermostat
It could be a vaccum leak for the drivers side blowing cool air and the passenger side blowing warm air
Does it have dual air control switches one for drivers side and one for passengers side?
