Question about 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Recently when I step on the gas the engine started making a weird whirring noise...like something is winding up too tight. Now it happens sporadically while I'm driving. Sometimes when I give it gas, sometimes when I'm just cruising. Definitely doesn't sounds good...like something's about to snap. Any ideas?
Hi if you can get it to do it so you can pick the bonnet up and listen check out alternator power steering pump [if fitted] water pumps any thing driven by your belts check the belt for signs of slipping if the noise is presnt you can take your alternator belt of [temparary] run engine see if noise dissapears it sounds like a small bearing yates210456
