Question about 1998 Chevrolet S-10 Pickup
The headlight switch for my truck is not working. you put it in the park light position but the headlights stay on. i even tried pushing the dome light switch 4 time, ( which works on other models of s10's) but this does not fix the problem either. also, is there a place where i can purchase a higher amp alternator without redoing the wiring harness???
Try putting the emergency brake on and then put the head lite switch to the park lite position, if the head lites do not cme on then they are your daytime running lites. as for a larger altenator this depends on what amperare of one you have now, but in most cases you can get a higher amp. altenator. you will have to find out what amp yours is and any parts store will be able to get one for you.I assume you want the bigger altenator for charging an auxillary battery, ( camper, trailer, or you have lots of extralites on your vehicle ).
hope that you find this to be helpfull.
