2005 Nissan Maxima, Power Locks Wont Work

Power Locks won't work completely using remote or interior switches. They "try" to unlock, I can see movement and hear a click under the steering wheel but they wont lock or unlock all the way.
Tried resetingthe CPU via the remote, by holding down lock and unlock, horn chirped still no lock functions.

help!

when I locked my car remotely or mannualy, in while it got unlock automaticaly. what is the fix

  • matthewingra Jan 01, 2009

Rear passenger door lock will not function, remotely or manually, door will not open...period. When actuated, latch attemptes to open, moves ever so slightly as it tries to unlock, but wont. Tried to push lock mechanism open, but it is resistant, dont want to force and break, making problem worse.

IMPORTANT: Before entering programming mode, have in possession all of the transmitters you will be using on the vehicle. Once you program the transmitter, all previous codes will be erased from the memory. The other transmitters will not be functional until you program the transmitters again.
  1. Close and lock all doors with the driver's side power lock/unlock switch.
  2. Insert key into ignition and remove it from the ignition key cylinder at least six times within 10 seconds. Your Hazard Lamps will flash if you have performed this step successfully. NOTE: Withdraw key completely from ignition cylinder each time. If this procedure is performed too fast, system will not enter programming mode.
  3. Insert key into the ignition cylinder and turn to the ACC position.
  4. Within 5 seconds, push ANY button on the remote transmitter. Your Hazard Lamps should flash. NOTE: Do not press the button more than one time in the above step. If the button is pressed more than one time, the programming procedure will not be successful.

1993 Nissan Maxima SE Car Alarm freaks out, and other electrical

Im no professional but i did recently buy a 93 maxima and i have the same security alarm problem and my powered locks dont work at all. im taking off the door panel today to take a look and see if the alarm sensor is loose or damaged, if it is, ill probably just disconnect it. one thing i have noticed though is that when i hit the lock or unlock button, i hear a faint click from the dashboard area which im assuming is the solenoid on a transistor which would mean that the buttons work but the transistor isnt delivering power. Semi-Solution for Locks: Listen for very quiet click when you lock/unlock doors, if you hear it, uve got major work to do, if you dont, then take apart the door and check the switch connections. Semi-Solution for Alarm: take off the door panel and disconnect the sensor.

Power locks not working right

Hey, this might work.....get in truck, close doors, put key in ignition in lock position.....hold down the door lock button on driver side door control and wait for the lock control to be displayed on the information screen(odometer read-out).....it should say like lock 1, lock 2, lock 3, lock 4.....or something, I always reset mine to LOCK 1, to do this hold the odometer reset button on dash for a sec or two til it changes settings, then release, repeat till you get to LOCK 1, then quickly press and release odometer reset button to exit program, this is the function to lock doors over 15 mph and when out of park and to unlock doors when returned to park......yours' might be set to another function number....try it out, let me know if this helps.........good luck!
