Could be the socket where you put the bulb or the wire that goes to the socket. there could be no power going to the wire.

Fuse location for brake and tail lights on a 1999 f550

If you have turn signals on the passenger side, the brake light fuse is good because the brake light uses the same lamp as the rear turn signal. Check the contact bumps* on the left-side lamp, lamp socket and wiring. If you see a green streak on the wire insulation, the insulation may have been damaged and the wire inside corroded through; this is especially a problem for wiring that is exposed to the underside of the vehicle.

The previous paragraph is based on the assumption that neither the left brake light nor the left turn signal are working. If this is not the case, please clarify.

"Sometimes the solder bumps on the end of the lamp get worn down so the filament is visibly good and passes continuity tests, but the bump doesn't make contact with the spring in the lamp socket. If the bump is visibly worn, you may either build it up with additional solder or just replace the bulb. Also, check the contacts inside the socket to make sure they are clean.

Hello i have a toyota camry 1992 and my passenger side marker wont turn off ???

That's very odd, because the wiring for all of the side markers are just splices from the nearest park lamp wires- the rear tail light in the rear (and the license plate lamps are also splices from these tail lights), and in the front side markers, they are splices from the nearest park lamps. Do all the other park lights work and turn on with the park light switch on? I would examine the 2 wires from that side marker's socket to the wiring harness it goes into-the power wire would somewhere splice into the passenger tail light wire. The other wire would be a ground wire and also splices into a ground wire for the rear end. To be on, the marker lamp would have to be getting power from some live source. I can't imagine where. Does the rear passenger light work correctly?

In that harness to the rear where the park lamps run, there might be a live wire going to an electrical trunk latch switch, or maybe a trunk lamp. If the wires were frayed right beside the side marker wire, you could have some cross feeding of power between the two. Let me know, we always appreciate feedback.

Wiring diagram running light, need wiring diagram for 2006 dodge dakota ,right tail light is out but brakeand turn signal works

With a test light check if you have power there with lights on and with lights off, compare left side with right side as far as location in the tail lamp plug for the tail lamp park lights.Trace the harness back to the left side underneath usual corrosion in this area.

Rear lights no Vauxhall Astra not working properly

Good old astra ,i have one a 1.6 GT from 1993 ,a flying machine when my tools are not in the boot and spare battery or two, anyway suspect a fault or dirty earth connection in your case here ,find the comunial earth for the light cluster and run another earth from this wire but leave the old one connected just slice and splice it with a bit of tape and it will all work .

2001 Grand Cherokee Limited- Driver side rear brake light does not work if tail lights are on. When you step on brake tail light also goes out. With lights off everything works ok.

Very common issue is the lamp assembly (dealer item). They are very bad to ground back through the tail lamp filament, lights on the path has voltage on it and the lamp will not work.

How do I replace rear passenger side brake light on a 2007 Hyundai Sonata

There is an 'access panel' in the trunk liner right behind the tail lamp assy. Loosen wingnut to release cover. Now you have access to the bulb sockets. Be sure you replace the bulb with the same type (dual filament).. otherwise you could cause a short circuit between the 'parking lamp' and the 'brake lamp' circuits.
