I will suggest wiring a relay or even a number of relays into the circuit. Most switches can't handle high current flow so use the switch to operate the relays. You can wire in an almost countless number of lights without fear of burning out the switch. Draw out a diagram to be sure that you are staying within the operating limits of the relays, wires and connectors that you're using. You can also do the math to figure out which relays will work best for your application/requirements. If you'd like more help, please forward specifics about your components and what you're trying to accomplish and we'll build even more! :D

My tail lights don't work at all on my 2009 Ford F150 STX.

Do the stop light's ,turn signals work ? Plate light's ?
Principles of Operation
The smart junction box (SJB) monitors the headlamp switch position by sending voltage reference signals on multiple circuits to the headlamp switch. At any given time, one of the signal circuits is routed to ground. If the SJB does not detect any of the inputs to the headlamp switch is active (routed to ground) for 5 seconds, the SJB turns on the exterior lights and keeps them on for 10 minutes after the ignition switch is turned off (or 10 minutes from the time the SJB does not detect any headlamp switch input if the ignition switch was already off). If the SJB detects multiple circuits short to ground, the SJB implements a planned strategy depending on the multiple inputs received. If either of these situations occur, the SJB should NOT be ruled immediately as being at fault. This is normal behavior of the SJB design as it has detected a fault with the inputs from the headlamp switch.
When the SJB receives an input from the headlamp switch indicating a request for the parking lamps, the SJB energizes the parking lamp relay (internal to the SJB), which supplies voltage to the exterior lamps.

There are 4 wires with disconnects on them. I think they are high beam, low beam, supply, some thing else. What are wire colors and locations of the 4 terminal connections to the switch?

Sounds like someone has added some other lights. Fog maybe. Under carriage? You will just need to trace them. Factory wires don't have quick disconnects...

How to disconnect airbag light on 2011 kia Sorrento

Disconnect batery! Look under the steering column for a thick yellow wire that goes into or follows the column up to the steering wheel! This is the air bag wire! Trace this wire till you find the connection! Remove locking clip and disconnect! This will disable the air bag in the steering wheel! As for the air bag light you will have to scan the computer because there are multiple bags on a car and multiple sensors! If any of these are malfunctioning you will get a light! The light will only go out if bad part is pinpointed and replaced! Make shure you have removed the power supply and static charge from your self as I've seen these things go off when a static charge is created like draging your feet on carpet and then tuching a light switch! Actuall seen a fluorescent light bulb flicker when off from the zap at the switch! Good luck! Be carefull!!

1984 GMC G3500 has multiple lighting issues... Headlamp high beams work, low beams do not ( brand new bulbs and interior switch ) Passenger reverse lamp inop... Driver side rear blinker/brake light stuck...

seems you have several different problems. High beam working and no low beams=dimmer switch is bad. Reverse lamp not working=bulb socket bad, wiring broke, bad ground at back
Brake light on drivers side stuck on=brake light switch

The interior lights and the stereo wont turn on in my 2000 sunfire

I have worked on multiple door, wiring harness's on GM's. Those blasted electric window motor windows love tojamb up. Or their window switches, (momentary contact switch) will stick in the "up" or the "down" position without your knopwledge, burning up the motors. Anyway, back to your question; I have had Multiple instances where the radio fails to operate & interior lights fail, whil I have the harness unplugged waiting on parts. Mostly on family memeber GM cars. But, It has hap0pened alot. Has there bee recent damage to the LH (passenger) door or electric motor control.????

My brake lights (and dash), went out on my 1992 Celica, I've ruled out the fuses, bulbs and fusable links. Im not getting power to the slot in the fuse box that is allocated for them, but if I run a jump...

You have multiple probs. Dash lights are powered off Headlamp switch, which sounds bad. Brake lights are operated off brake light switch which is just above your brake pedal under dash. Sounds like brake light and head light switch both need to be replaced.

1988 Dodge Omni. I have no park lights or dash lights. I have replaced the fuse multiple times. I have the Chilton's and have traced the hot wire from the headlight switch to the battery with no errors...

then the short is between the battery and switch. so take a test light and hook it on the positive battery cable and the other end to the wire going to the headlight switch (with switch disconnected) if the light is on, start pulling on the harness until it flickers and that will show where the short may be. If the light is off, then wiggle the harness until the light flickers, then find it. either way, you will find it.

Multiple switches/multiple amplifiers

All the amps should be wired directly to the battery, with a toggle switch on each of them. most amplifiers have a SWITCH wire as well, shich is usually wired to your ACC wire on the stereo. instead, run each SWITCH wire to a positive wire through the toggle switch. If done right, you should be able to run each amp on a separate circuit and can turn them on or off as you wish.
