Question about 1995 Ford Explorer

2 Answers

Leak I have a 1995 Ford Explorer, and is leaking coolant at back of motor. I could not see where it was coming from so I took it to local shop. They said it was a freeze plug at the back. I cleaned up and sealed the two rear freeze plugs on the back of the heads, but after all that work, its still leaking. When it leaks it comes down both sides of the bell housing of the tranny. Please help me, I'm running out of hair from me pulling out...

It is most likely the hose that goes into the heater core next to the firewall hard to see it though. The things have a tendency to leak form the bottom of the line. more so when on, and circulation less.

Coolant leaking from 1998 ford mustang

If you have coolant leaking from the top of your engine then you have either a bad hose or your thermostat housing is leaking and requires a new gasket. Either one is an easy fix for anyone with even basic mechanical knowledge. Just ask your local parts shop to point out the problem to you.

Coolant leak behind motor

No, on the freeze plug. A freeze plug leak would immediately start leaking as you were pouring coolant into the radiator. And would be leaking constantly, whether engine was running or not. More likely a head gasket, or if there is a coolant passage into your intake it might be an intake manifold gasket.

I have a ford explorer and it is leaking water out of the back of the motor

if its leaking clear water on to the ground toward the back of your engine its probably just condensation from your air conditioner, if its coolant like water mixed with antifreeze then it could be a number of thingssuch as freeze plug, water pump, heater hose going into the fire wall, keep up with your radiator fluid level and if you have to keep adding coolant then you know you have a bigger problem than just condensation. condensation from your vehicle is normal

1995 ford explorer blower motor

Basically, you have a fan relay that has shorted and burned. The relay is used because of the different power setting needed for the fan speeds.

Trouble shoot all fuses, incase you blew a fuse when the relay went. The relay burned but that did not effect the motor, thats why the motor runs well.

To find the location of the hi speed fan relay, check with your local parts store to see if they can bring it up on a computer.
