Question about 1991 Ford F150
My truck starts but wont stay running unless I give it gas. If Im able to get going it sputters out. After messing with it for a while I noticed the cat converter glowing. Any suggestions?
Had the same problem last year with my truck. It was the MAP sensor. Mine was on the far left hand side of the fire wall Or passenger side. Should be one vacuum line going into it. unplug it and try firing it up.it probably wont run perfect but better. I went to a scrap yard and picked one up for $10. (They let me plug it in first to make sure that's what i needed.)As soon as I plugged it in the truck started purring like a tom cat in a dairy. If your into the scrap yard thing than its not an expensive experiment. Not sure if this is you problem ( My crystal ball works about as good as anyone else's) but its a suggestion.
