Where are the map and maf sensors located on a 1990 r2500 suburban?

I have been going crazy trying to diagnose a fuel problem on my suburban. I'm down to the map & maf sensors. Where are they located?

Your vehicle has a MAPS and not a MAFS, the MAPS will be passenger side of the intake manifold, above the valve cover and mounted on a bracket

Where can I find the map sensor on a 1990 Buick Riviera 3800

You may not have one. If you have a Mass Air Flow sensor, very possible there is no map sensor.
I have a '92 LeSabre, and it does not have a map sensor, only the MAF sensor. I have seen a 2005 Buick Century that has both the MAF and a map sensor. On that one, the MAP sensor is on top of the intake manifold, on the passenger side of car.

Where map sensor located

there is no MAP for fueling the ECU uses MAF for air flow.
there is a MAP for EGR only. called a different name. do to that fact.

this engine fuels mostly off the MAF.
ture air flow.
need maf test page got it.
G16b engine, USA car.

What does obd 1 code 25 and 26 mean?

EOBD II Error Code: 25
System too Lean, Bank 1
Possible Causes:
- Intake/exhaust leak.
- Secondary air injection (AIR) system.
- Manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor.
- Mass air flow (MAF) sensor.
- Fuel pressure/pump.
- Injector(s).
- Evaporation emission (EVAP) canister purge valve.
- Heated oxygen sensor (HO2S).
- Contaminated fuel.

EOBD II Error Code: 26
Fault Location:
System too Rich, Bank 1
- Evaporation emission (EVAP) canister purge valve .
- Fuel pressure.
- Injector(s).
- Heated oxygen sensor (HO2S).
- Contaminated fuel.

99 buick regal supercharge starts fine in the morning but after accelerating cuts off

You have a MAF and MAP, The mass air flow signal varies with engine load.It is attatched to throttle body. This if it is the primary signal can cause the problem you desribe try and disconnect it and see if it idles properly. The next item you need to inspect is the MAP ,manifold air pressure this is a back up for the MAF sensor.If this sensor fails you will not accelerate correctly and stall out flooding the vehicle with fuel. This monitor the MAF and your EGR. If the EGR valve is stuck open the vehicle stumble and stall out and affect the performance of the MAF and MAP.Make sure your MAP is connected and the vacuum hose is attatch this item is located at top rear engine compartment near fuel injectors

Repair a4 audi 2004, mass air flow sensor, catalitic converter, car stalls when accelerate.

hi this might not be the MAF but the MAP sensor as this is the thing that normally gives you this sort of fault, the MAF adjusts the air and fuel mix but the MAP adjusts the air and fuel mix and also the timing via the ECM , normally if it is the MAF it will just idle rough and still run as normal, but jerky and bogs down but does not stall, so if anything i would opt for the MAP sensor first before the MAF...hope this helps

no this engine doesn't use a cold start injector, only early fuel injection systems (Bosch K jetronic) used this part, this is a "L" jetronic system.

My 1993 GMC Suburban 5.7 liter with throttle body injectors surges up to 1,200 rpm at idle and stalls back down to 500 rpm. It seems to have this problem even when cruising.... Help?

Wow, That has gotta be a pain. The Maf sensor regulates the fuel supply needed for proper air fuel ratio by telling ecu how muc air is moving thriugh the intake. Check it first, Then the TPS. Good Luck.

1996 Suburban Not running good, Misfireing possible overfueling .

Any applicable trouble codes? To check codes, yourself, at the least, you need an obd2 code reader. Some of the national brand auto stores may check po codes for free, if you can get the vehicle down there? Do you have the spider fuel system on this vehicle? That system is noted for problems. In the diagram, the pink wire is voltage, fuse protected, eng 1 mini fuse--20 amp. The black wire at bottom is chassis ground, check it the way you would any chassis ground. The yellow wire is signal to pcm. There could be other issues?

Truck not running

ok e- 85 is a fuel than is actually sell or offer by some gas stations, but it does not have the minimun octane required for most vehicles, also the maf sensor also knows as mass air flow sensor is located at the main breather hose for engine and it is just after the air filter, but if you truck come with a map sensor
also knows as manintake, ifold absolute pressure sensor it will be on one of the fenders and ir by the firewall and it will have a hose and three wire conector atached to it, also the hose is coming staright from the, one mare thing i will recomend you is to use the other thank the one you are not using now because like i said this trucks come with 3 fuel pumps one in each thank and the main pump on the chasis or frame, and the filter reservor is supposed to have 2 lines coming from each tank pressure and retun, and then two more going to engine, if you find it, remove the lower cap, and check or inspect the inside filter by blowing by mouth but if you don't want to blow on it just replace it,
