Your immobilizer is enabled. Try locking/unlocking the doors with the remote five (5) times, this should remedy.
Source: Car won't start
Do you have the remote, i.e. The deadlock system is activated and deactivated using the remote control key fob, which allows the driver to open the car as they approach. It seems you have activated the steering lock which is for preventing thieves to make a getaway. Use the remote to deactivate it and then try starting the car.......sodeep
P.S. The security system is a built-in feature of this model
The car uses a lot of fuel, when the garage replaced the sensor the car used a lot less fuel but the sensor failed within a day and the engine management light came back on again. It's after the cat sensor, the one at the back. i don't know what type of sensor it is but it has a 4 pin white plug and is about 1meter long (part no is 308643308 ntk a4f ) if it helps. I just want to know if it is possible that the exhaust can damage the sensor if it is loose? The garage keeps replacing the part but it does not look like they are trying to fix the problem!! i will fix the exhaust first and try a new sensor again.
