It's the slave cylinder, right on front of engine and you can see it move when engaging clutch. Cost me about $15 @ schucks

I had the same problem & let my car sit for 2 months to save the $500 to get it fixed. Well, I put GOOGLE to use, & this fixed it! Raise the hood, & look up near the steering wheel. You'll see 2 reservoirs. One is bigger than the other. This is for the brakes -big one, and the clutch -small one. Fill both of these w/ brake fluid. If the fluid is below 3/8 inch from the top, it's low. I did get a flashlight, got in the floorboard, & looked @ the slave cylinder. It looks like the hydraulic pump that closes a storm door. It's located where the clutch goes into the floor & I noticed a small drip of fluid, so I'll replace this myself before long. However, this is success for me, for now! I've also replaced the main relay in my car.:) Here's to a chic fixing her own car! Thanks FixYa!

possibly 2 solutions 1. manual transmission --probably clutch fluid. find out where it is, fill it , and make sure the cap is closed exactly like you took it off. if it's not closed clompletely, pressure won't be able to build up. 2. auto trans-- transmission fluid..note there is no dipstick to check fluid.

What would cause my 1994 honda accord to only catch reverse but no other gears i changed the shift solenoid but didnt help the car only catches gears if i slowly press the gas if i press normally it wont...

possible that clutch has failed, to test do following
switch off engine and put gear into 4th, with brakes on try to start
engine while in gear. if the engine starts switch it off straight away

this confirms your clutch has failed, if engine stalls your clutch is good.but could mean that the clutch activator is not working. either way
recomment you see a qualified dealer or machanic about this issue.

I hope this was helpful

I have an 2000 honda accord ex v6 3.0 with reverse gear

IT sounds like your reverse gear is going out, or that you need to have filter replaced my best advise is have your transmission checked out by a transmission shop as soon as possible.
