Check your cab lites to see if water has gotten into one of them and corroded a hot wire off. and that it's not shorting out causing your problem. also take a look at the wiring going to your domelite.

(the Park (tail-running) lamps go to up to 20+ places) ... The below covers shorts in the cab box, not the 50-100 amp engine bay fuse box that loves to rust out.

You unplugged the horn & put battery voltage directly to it,
to test it,correct?

The horn relay can click on the coil side, but that doesn't mean
the power contacts are good, but you removed that & tested it also,
correct ?

So why are you lost.

How do you check things like fuses, you use a volt meter,
look at them held up to a light, continuity test ?

Horn doesn't work climate control blower on works

the resistor block mounted on the fan assembly ,located under the right dash is open.that will give only a high speed fan.check the fuse for the horn, and apply power directly to the horn and see if it works.you can also put a test light on the horn and see if it lights when the horn switch is depressed.if none of those work, the horn switch in the steering wheel is no good.

When testing for a draw on the battery. If the key is in the off posistion and the doors are shut etc. The test light should be off. When the key is on the ignition system creates a draw and the light will come on. So if the test light is on when everything is
turned off, then there is a draw. Fords of that era had
issues with the headlight switch heating up,but you
would also loose the headlights. To pop a 25amp fuse
I think there is a dead short(bare wire to metel)check
brown wire(taillight)and the orange+lt blue wire(dir/stop) for shorts accross the rear bumper and at
the plate lights. Then trace back to the cab. You could use a test light and trace the power back from
the cab, but you would go through a bag of fuses.
Hope this helps.

I have a 97' f150 4.2 eng 2 wheel drive pickup elect. problem

A fuse blown is a short, and a short is a ahort.
The fuse is the ecm so unplug the ecm and see what happens. If the fuse holds with theecm unplugged, then it is your ecm that needs relacement. If it still blows, The short is in the wiring.go to the parts store and pick up and automatic circuit breaker. It plugs in where the bad fuse goes. It will trip and reset itself automaticallly like a flasher until you have located the short. trick, Start with a breaker of amp. examole; if you took out a 20 amp, put in a 10 amp so the breaker trips faster, On and off quicker so you don't have to wait between ressets. If you want to trace the short by the wiring, put a 25 amp or with great caution a 30 amp. That is the limit. The wire will get warm on the 25 and even warmer on the 30. Pay attention that the wire does not get hot. Hopefully yhe 25 will get the wire warm enough for you to follow. Good Luck, Ned. This method is dangerous if you don't pay very close attention using the high amp breaker. There is a risk of fire if the circuit cannot handle 30 amps. In fact, only yuse the 30 amp breaker if the 25 breaks and resets too fast. Good Luck_Ned_

Rx7 horn problem, connected directly 2 battery it works but when i push the horn i dosent and i cant locate the horn relay or fuse..

Did u check both fuse panel one under the hood the other in the cab under or on the side of the dash. Also sometimes the switch inside the stearing wheel will short or just stop working due to dust or excessive force. If the car has a drivers air bag it will be costly to replac this switch due to the explosives used in the air bag deployment system. good luck and good hunting

replace battery and check post. Your popping sound could have been a fuseable link. check the one thats leading to the starter.
