Question about 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
I tried to start my car and the key won't turn in the ignition. Usually, you wiggle the steering wheel, get it to lock and then you can turn the key. The steering wheel will not lock and wiggling has not worked (which is what the book suggests). I am also not able to take the car out of gear.
You may need to have they key reprogrammed at your local dealer. The keys have a transponder built in them as an anti theft device. If the transponder becomes damaged, it will need reprogramming or replacement. *NOTE* This costs MUCH more than just having your key copied (between $30 and $75 US)
