Also, to add to some mild confusion, the terminals under the hood on the charger are just there for a jump, thus there is only a positive terminal. The battery is actually stored in the trunk next to the spare.

Usually the battery has a red cable and a black cable. Red is positive, black is negative. do you have a cover on top of the battery posts? If you do, open them and you can see which one is neg and pos. usually the cover is marked with a + sign for positive and a - sign for negative. if none of this makes sense, and you know which one for sure is positive, then the other one on the battery is negative, or you can use a metal bracket on the car for the negative and hook up the neg jumper cable to that and then hook up the pos. jumper cable to the battery, it may take a little longer to jump this way. Once you get it started, go have the battery checked you can have walmart check it and replace the battery if it needs it, and just ask one of the installers to show you where the neg. cable is then, so you know in future reference.

YOU DON'T NEED TO PUT THE NEGATIVE (GROUND) ON THE ANODE (BATTERY POST).

PUT YOU BLACK LEAD ON ANY SOLID METAL (NOT PAINT COVERED ) ON THE ENGINE.

How do you give a jump start to someone using a 2007 Dodge Charger?

The underhood connections can work by themselves...POS to POS, and NEG to NEG...sometimes dirty/weak connections do not allow the power to transfer fully from the underhood connections...if this is the case then you need to connect directly to the battery in trunk for full power charge...again POS to POS, and NEG to NEG...hope this helps

Jump start

c85a2fd9-af0e-4d08-89b4-66fb0b469e10.jpgThe motor home battery I couldn't teel you but if you're talking about the vattery for yhe charger, it's located in the Passenger side inside the trunk. There is a cover over it that has to be removed to get access to it. If jumping, there are posts next to the battery I believe designed just forr jumping. I would REALLY suggest just charging the motor home batteries or using a different vehicle to use. Have found on your kind of vehicle that sometimes when getting jumped or visa versa That it causes an electrical problem. there is a fuse link in the wiring directly (sort of) from the battery to the alternator. Have seen this fuse link blown a lot and MANY people change the alternator thinking the alt. is bad beause the battery goes dead not to mention the car letting you know thta there is a charging problem.Hope this helps.....

Dodge charger wont go over 35 mph

I have a 2007 Dodge Charger won't go over 35-40 mph and once you get up to that speed it jumps back and forth and when you start it and put it in gear to go it jumps real hard. My mechanic and a transmission specialist said it was a bad tranny I bought a used tranny and the used one wouldn't even shift into gear so now putting another tranny and another computer system in it. Does anyone know anything else it could be I'm so tired of this vehicle

What causes cruise control not to work in dodge charger ?

The most common cause that I've seen on these vehicles is the cruise control switch. But before you replace this switch, I recommend disconnecting the battery for about 20 minutes. Note that I mean the battery in the trunk. All you need to do is take the negative (black) cable off and leave it off for about 20 minutes. If this doesn't help, the switch/stalk is the most common cause.

2007 dodge charger won't turn over

probably not, your car is not grounded, so there is no path to ground, thus lightning would not harm it. on the other hand, are you sure that your battery is new and not shorted and that you charged it with the positives and negatives the right way?
