Re: daewoo lanos sx r reg
If there is just one single belt on your vehicle it's called a serpentine belt. If there is more than one on the engine, they are just called fan belts. There is also probably a timing belt that is not actually visible without removing the timing cover on your vehicle also.

If this is an "interference" engine and the belt broke while running you may have major engine damage. If non-interference, buy shop manual to give all details and torque values for this very important procedure.
First remove head and fix the bent valves. I have worked at a Daewoo dealer. People would buy the belt and come right back to get valves and gaskets. Daewoo timing belts must be replaced every 60,000 miles.
spark wire order of daewoo lanos is 1423 with you facing the engine; spark 1 is on th extreme left then 2,3,4 ..insert them as 1 (extreme left) is the highest to be plugged in, under which insert 4 then 2 then 3 at the bottom, hope it helps
it will most likely cost you a lot of money you must remove the engine mount on the left side of the engine also all the plastic guards. it is also a good idea to replace the water pump and the belt tensioners at this time. it is also very important to check the valve condition at this time if you had a timing belt actually break because it could have bent a valve. It takes a long time to do i did one and it took me at least five hours.
