I have a 1998 3.8liter V6. I turn the key, but it only clicks. After 3-10 tries, it typically starts.Sometimes I go a couple of days with no problem.
Starter Solenoid, or key-switch? Battery appears to be OK.

A weak battery will cause the clicking noise to occur, although the lights/radio may work. If jumping the van from another car starts it up, then this is likely the issue. Also clean the terminals.

2007 Dodge Caravan won't start.Batt. is good, all lights work, Turn key, solenoid clicks and stops, all gauge needles slowly move to max., and return to min. No codes displayed.

When you try to start it do the lights dim way low, have you been able to start it with a jump from another vehicle, unfortunately, chances are the starter needs to be replaced. How many miles does it have?

The noise of clicking keeps going. But than stops afterwhile..does.any dodge mechanic know what this is.?

I have a 2004 Dodge Grand caravan that won't start. (60,000 miles) I hear a clicking noise and my gauges go "crazy" when I turn the key. (Speedometer goes from 0-120 and back to zero when I turn...

Sounds like a classic case of a dead battery. It takes much less energy to sweep the gauges and turn on the lights than it does to crank the engine over. The clicking noise is usually your starter solenoid trying to engage and spin the starter. Try a new battery. Happy motoring.

Good luck.

2004 Dodge Caravan won't start...just a clicking noise...

Check the battery first. Just because the lights are on doesn't mean it has enough power to start the van. If you or the van has a volt meter, the battery should read at least 13-14 volts to be good. If the battery is good then the alternator is good and we move on to the starter solenoid. I'm sure it's one of these. Do the lights go off or very dim when you turn the key? If so then battery.

2003 Grand Dodge Caravan Will not turn over.

First thing I would have checked is the charging system, battery load test, alternator charging, all connections to battery cleaned & checked, as well as any ground straps connected from engine to frame, or firewall.
