Generic problem for all Ford Fairmont Cars

No reverse

no reverse, yet all other gears working well.transmission oil all good. could this be an fault in the electrical wire ? If so where can I find this??

doesn't sound like an electrical problem to me. the gears in the transmission are just that, gears, and sounds like your reverse gear has gone out. Take it to a reputable transmission shop, they will diagnose it for free and give you a free estimate most of the time.
