I am a ford tech and what you need is to get a vin for a same year car with the radio in it same as you have the ford tech than can look up online for as built data for radio than program the new radio to your car or possibly call tech hotline to get as built data for this radio to work in your car

Get the model number and the serial number of your radio written down and call your local ford dealer and explain it to them most probably they might ask you to bring a recipt for the purchase adn if it satisfies there standards they will give you the code number which will open the radio again

Radio code for ford 3000 traffic

Radio codes are intended as a theft deterrent so you can't access them freely. Record your vehicle VIN and the Serial number off the radio chassis and go here: www.radiocodes.com

Need a radio code for a ford 5000rods Leon m042746

Hi

If you log on to your ebay account you can search for a "stereo code buster" cd. Many available and very cheap.
I have used one for years, it always works.

Dealer can supply this from VIN# if you can show proof of ownership. Otherwise, try gumtree.com

Purchased 2000 ford AU don't have code for radio how to solve problem

The correct radio SERIAL NUMBER is required for a code

It usually begins with M or V followed by SIX digits ...such as M654321 or V654321

Sometimes pressing buttons 6 & 1 together or 6 & 2 will display this number

Otherwise remove the radio from the dashboard and post the SERIAL NUMBER found on a label on the casing

I bought a faily used jaguar s-type but the radio is showing locked 10. I need a help

I don't own an S Type so I can't try this, however Ford Radio systems apear to work the same.

You will need your unlock code for the radio, see details at http://www.bluejag.co.uk

Then with radio off press key 6 and hold while turning radio power on, continue to hold key 6. After 15 - 20 seconds the screen will say CODE release key 6 then enter your code.

I need the pin code for the radio cd on C-MAX

Hi,

Unfortunately you need the serial number of the radio in order to unlock it. You must remove the radio from the dash and you will find the serial on a sticker on the case. There is no other way round it as the serial of the car is not relevant with these Ford radios unlike some other manufacturers.

For European Ford radios the serial begins with a letter then 6 numbers e,g M123456.

It is this number you must find in order to have the code processed. The radio can be removed from the dash with special tools which you can obtain from the likes of Halfords for around £5. Halfords staff will usually be happy to assist if you need them to pull the unit out for you.

This diagram illustrates the radio removal process for the Ford Focus.

There is no other way to decode the radio. Even Ford themselves need the serial of the radio to retrieve the code but will charge £20 to £35 to provide this.

One alternative is to use this site which does the codes for £3.50. I have used it a number of times for these Ford radios and they are very reliable and cheap compared to Ford.

Hope this helps. Thanks for using FixYa.

I bought a replacement radio for my 2005 sunfire on e-bay. The radio is used and came out of another 2005 sufire. It looks the same except the one I bought has a Monsoon label on it; my original doesn't ...

I have a civic and as far as the unlocking code I checked in the glove box and there is a little white sticker with the numbers that I had to put into my radio to unlock.  Not sure with the sunfire though...you could always call up your dealership and they'd probably have it.
