Yeah, its your head gasket. the oil looks like that because it has coolant mixed in with it. it will try to start because its getting fuel and spark but no/not enough compression.

I have a 1997 Mitsubishi eclipse and we see white smoke coming from the exhaust every gage is fine no check engine lights no codes come up no lights period it smells like oil but no leaks anywhere we can...

If this car is turbocharged the turbo seal is likely leaking oil into the engine intake runners. The other cause is worn valve guides and seals on the valve stems for oil control.

usually when you get white smoke its because ur head gasket blew mixing antifreeze and engine oil look at ur oil and see if its a milky white color.car will not start beacuse ur loosing compression threw the gasket blowing..

White smoke from tailpipe and low oil pressure

How's the anti-freeze doing? Usually when you see white smoke coming out the tailpipe it's because you are getting anti-freeze in the exhaust somehow. Try to sniff it a little does smell like anti-freeze, or oil? I don't know why the oil pressure would be low unless you are getting anti-freeze in the oil. Does the oil look milky, knda like chocolate milk? The low oil pressure could also be a faulty gauge, you may want to have a mechanic put a mechanical gauge on the car for test purposes.

1997 eclipse white smoke out tailpipe

have compression check done on all cylenders. sounds that it could be seeping and burning this new anttifreez. can burn out pistons if so. if you have a turbo have your seals checked as they could be hardend and cracked causeing seepage. also note if your oil or coolant levels have been coming up small amounts short, this could tell about the same as the comp tests

Thick white smoke coming from exhaust

White smoke usually associated with water or moisture. it doesn't take too much water to produce white smoke. check

1. cloudy oil under oil cap
2. leak through gasket from cooling jacket to combustion chamber

White Smoke out my exhause,

Hello chris first thing you need to do is while the car is running go to the rear of your car have somone increase the gas pedal to get it to smoke now smell the smoke does it smell like antifreeze if it does most likely headgasket going wich means your head needs to be pulled to change the gasket if it smells like oil possible valve seals clogged oil returns this is all serviced under your valve cover if car is turbo turbo seal internal most likely ruptured and is letting oil get into the exhaust port side have your turbo checked if there is wettness around the housing areallook for exsesive oil leaking externally goodluck please rate

its sounds like a leaking head gasket. check the coolant to see if there is any oil in it or if the coolant is low. if its loosing coolant with no visible leaks, its probably leaking into the cylinders. best thing to do is check the compression. its should be around 170 psi with no more than a 14psi difference between cylinders.
