Question about 2004 Volvo S60
Just wondering if you had any suggestions for my problem? I recently bought a 2004 s60 FWD from a whole sale guy, clean carfax and dmv records, and it has quit on me 3 times. It has 53,000k on it and has not thrown any codes or done it for the dealer.:( It happens when I have slowed down after driving for a little while. Each time it has happened I have put it in neutral and it starts back up like a champ. I have good gas in it, Chevron mid grade but am at a loss as to what to do next. My inclination is to try and get the guy who sold me the car to take it back...do you have any suggestions. Thanks for your time.
It is possible that your idle air controller is sticking. The root cause of this is usually carbon and gunk, but my experience is in *** cars. The symptoms match, and were also often "no code" problems. Cleaning the throttle body and the idle air passages may help.
Before you buy any high dollar parts, check with a more knowledgable person than me.
Good luck, hope this helps.
