Changing clutch in 05 Scion xB

I am have searched the web for instructions on changing my clutch.  I have changed them before, but I have never worked on an xB.
If anyone knows where I can find installation information or even offer me some tips, it would be appreciated.

For $20 US you can access the Chilton service manual here:

I personally prefer hard-copy and have either Haynes or Chilton for each of our vehicles. One or the other (probably Chilton - Haynes doesn't yet list the Scion line) will be found in just about any auto parts store and cost between ~$17-$30 US. The two lines are owned both by Chilton and I wouldn't be without one or the other. They are both based on a complete rebuild and have info on anything you can do at home and more.

Can I adjust slipping clutch on 2006 Scion XB?

You can't adjust a slippage on a clutch system. Probably need a new clutch assembly. The system is hydraulically driven and doesn't need adjustment.

How do i change wheel hub assembly on scion xb?

You need an impact wrench and large socket to get the spindle nut off, also some use star pattern bolts to hold on the hub. Will require a torque wrench also for re install. Some models require separating the ball joints too, a spreader is helpful. Not a job for anyone without good tools and a good bit of mechanic experience.

Just replaced clutch for my son's Toyotal month later the clutch pedal is staying down and won't come back up

Hi, the likely problem is air in the hydraulic clutch line. This happens when there is a leak in the system that draws down fluid in the reservoir until air is drawn in. You must repair the leak and bleed the system to restore pedal pressure. The leak is usually in the slave cylinder at the transmission, but may also occur in the master cylinder above the pedal. If you can find your leak, I can provide repair instructions--just let me know.

I want to know what transmission fluid i need for 2005, Scion XB. And are there any tips for changing the fluid that i should know?

the fluid is type-4. There are no tricks for changing it just a simple drain, and fill. Also most maintenance questions can be answered in the owners maual in the back of the book.
