Pass key 93 old"s 88 informatoin center say's

You have a broken wire going to the ignition tumbler inside the steering column. To fix it correctly, the tumbler will need to be replaced. Probably something for the dealer, or a locksmith as the new tumbler will have to have the same resistance chip in the key as the original.

1993 oldsmobile 88 royale has been hard to turn over, but now it just wont start...still has power to radio etc, lights are not dim, checked the battery and its fine, maybe battery cables or starter...

Over half of GM no starts stem from the antitheft security system turning off starters or injectors. Its that chip in your key. Check out this link, fix it yourself and save some cash.

96 Olds 88 with 92,000 miles runs fine but security light on dash won't go off. No problem in starting. Should I do anything?

If you brought it to our GM shop, we would bypass your Pass-Key sensor to eliminate any future problems.
