I have a Honda Accord Coupe Lx 95. I need to change the VSS, but it looks different that the spare part and the pictures showed here. It has only one support bolt and fixed cables. Connector is located in another place few inches ago. Where can I put a picture of my car VSS?

Is this a wheel speed sensor for an ABS system? or a Vehicle Speed Sensor? I will assume it is a VSS for right now
the VSS is located on the transmission, you will need to remove the intake to see it more clearly but here is a picture that shows the unit and its components http://econtent.autozone.com:24991/znetrgs/repair_guide_content/en_us/images/0900c152/80/05/f9/9e/small/0900c1528005f99e.jpg

My 1995 Honda Accord Ex, speed ometer

Sit on top of transmission, you can see it from under the hood on passenger, this year Honda came with cable or elec type, if it has a cable, check from there to see if cable broke, if not broken check the speedo, pull it out and check the little gear, if both, good bad speedo head, if elec, type replace speed sensor, no repair other then that can be done.

SPEEDOMETER AND TACHOMETER NOT WORKING

In cases where both are not working, i believe that it might point to a faulty speed sensor. Is your check engine light on? If so can you retireve the code from it. If not, manualy check the speed sensor. If you need to know how to do this, please let me know. Please rate my response for me. Thank you

This is the one under the throttle body

This is the one under the tranny near the right wheel. The Countershaft speed sensor is the best bet. i replaced this one on a 1995 honda accord with flashing d4 and after replacement it was gone.the part will be about 125 bucks.

My 95 honda accord ex d4 light is flashing also my speedometer jumps or quits working altogether what is the problem?

When the D4 light flashes that is an indication of a problem with the transmission. You need a speed sensor located on the transmission make sure to get the electrical part ths will solve BOTH problems.
